House Flip Unveiled: A Stunning Before-and-After of a Full House Flip by Grizzly Mountain Construction

Welcome to the breathtaking journey of a complete home transformation brought to you by Grizzly Mountain Construction. From outdated and worn-out spaces to a modern haven, this house flip showcases the skill and expertise that goes into turning a vision into reality. Our team worked alongside the clients to create a space that anyone would want to call home. This transformation took around two months to complete from beginning to end. It was the first, hopefully of many, house flips that Grizzly Mountain had a hand in completing. This before-and-after blog looks at five of our favorite house areas that had complete overhaul transformations!

Before: A Glimpse into the Past

The bathrooms in their original state reflected a dated design with worn-out fixtures. Dull tiles and outdated vanities contributed to an overall lackluster ambiance. Not only were they outdated, they were dingy, well-used, and gave the bathrooms an overall nasty look. The color of the walls was a faded lime green color, and the flooring was chipping and peeling. No one would want to use bathrooms that looked like these did!

The bedrooms echoed an era long past, with faded paint jobs, outdated (and in some cases broken) lighting, and worn carpeting. In one of the bedrooms, the previous owners had attempted to DIY their own raised bed, even adding a unique paint job. This created several problems, the biggest of which was the loss of closet space, and the dingy look that it added to the room. In the bedrooms, and down the hallways, there were hardwood floors that had begun to chip and come up in several spots.

Worn-out and aging linoleum and carpet dominated the floors throughout the house. Some of the floors seemed straight out of the 80s and brought a very outdated vibe to the house. Not only was it straight out of the past, it looked dingy and dirty from the years of use. The flooring screamed for an upgrade to breathe new life into the living spaces.

The kitchen, once the heart of the home, featured outdated appliances, tired cabinets, and a lack of functionality. There was a floor-to-ceiling fireplace in the middle of the kitchen that was not only unusable and outdated, it split the living area in half and created a sense of dysfunction. Above the sink, the wall had been stripped away, likely due to the termite damage that we found later on. Behind the stovetop, the wall was floor-to-ceiling brick. The space was in desperate need of a modern overhaul.

Exterior Paint Job and Backyard Fence

The exterior paint job had seen better days, with peeling paint and weathered colors. The backyard fence, once a charming addition, had succumbed to the elements, losing its initial appeal. Not only was the exterior paint job not appealing, but once we began to prep for painting, we found termite damage that had to be taken care of.

After: A Modern Oasis

The bathrooms both had complete overhauls! After we were done, they didn’t even look like they belonged in the original house. Here are a few of the features that were renovated or upgraded.

New Vanities

The spaces have been reborn with the introduction of sleek and modern vanities. Our client’s keen eye for design ensured that form met function, creating spaces that are as stylish as they are practical.

Updated Fixtures

The devil is in the details, and in this case, the transformation is in the fixtures. Contemporary faucets, handles, and towel racks replace the outdated elements, adding a touch of modern elegance to the bathroom spaces.

New Tile on the Floors

The tired and faded linoleum has given way to a fresh and invigorating new flooring experience. Enter the beauty of tile! The carefully chosen tiles not only complement the overall aesthetic but also provide a durable and easy-to-maintain surface.

New Shower

The crowning jewel of the bathroom transformation—a brand-new shower that beckons with its modern design and luxurious amenities. The client spared no expense in creating a spa-like experience that is both indulgent and rejuvenating.

Every inch of the bathrooms has been scrutinized and revitalized. From updated lighting fixtures to strategically placed mirrors, the attention to detail has transformed these spaces into retreats that seamlessly blend comfort with contemporary design.

New Flooring

Say goodbye to the past and hello to the future. The new flooring, a stunning yet practical choice, adds a touch of sophistication to every step. Gleaming hardwood and chic tile transform the entire look and feel of the house.

The client chose several different options to replace the flooring. In the bathrooms, they chose tile. This is always the best option for protecting the subfloor from water damage and helps to brighten up the bathroom space. In the bedrooms they went with a neutral gray carpet, finishing off the house with an LVP, otherwise known as a Luxury Vinyl Plank. Not only is it durable and great for a house full of kids, pets, and guests, it has a lower cost point to install.

Outdoor Haven with a Pergola

Step outside into an oasis of tranquility. The addition of a pergola, beautifully crafted by the client, extends the living space outdoors. It is a perfect spot for relaxation, entertaining, or enjoying a quiet moment amid nature. The new homeowners can sit under the pergola and enjoy a morning cup of coffee, host parties, or watch the fireworks on the 4th of July!

Kitchen Transformation

Witness the heart of the home undergo a remarkable transformation. The client chose to have us remove the old fireplace, and add an island instead. This opened up the space and connected the living room and kitchen. All of the appliances were updated, the cabinets were torn out and replaced, and a new kitchen sink was installed. A tile backsplash was added, along with floating shelves! The end effect creates an inviting space that is perfect for hosting, relaxing, and enjoying a meal!

Butcher Block Island as a Statement Piece

Prepare to be amazed by the focal point of the kitchen – a stunning butcher block island. This statement piece not only serves as a functional workspace but also stands out against the neutral tones of the kitchen, adding character and warmth to the space. It completely transforms the look of this space from dingy and closed off, to light and open!

Grizzly Mountain Construction has successfully breathed new life into this once-tired home, turning it into a modern masterpiece. The before-and-after photos tell a story of dedication, craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to transforming dreams into reality. This house flip is a testament to the transformative power of skilled construction, creating a home that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
